ACT NOW (16-25)

5 July 2011

ACT NOW is Cardboard Citizens’ youth theatre programme.

Work with director Tony McBride to learn about acting, writing, directing and all the skills needed to create great theatre.

At the end of each year the group will create their own play with a professional crew and perform in theatres and festivals around London.

We can also help you find other arts courses (we work with the National Youth Theatre, the Roundhouse and many more), find you work placements or help with your CV or job searches.

The workshops are open access: everyone is welcome to drop in.

Who can attend?

  • Aged 16-25
  • Not in education, employment or training
  • Living in a hostel/ homeless

When? Every Monday (from 5th September 2011) , 6pm-9pm.

Where? The Brady Arts Centre, 192-196 Hanbury Street, London, E1 5HU

£5 provided to cover travel expenses.

“ A truly brilliant example of building bridges between generations and cultures, but also of bridging communities and individuals with centres of culture which might not otherwise make such connections nor realise their potential. ”
